Traditional Design and Lodge Practices
Three Camel Lodge’s 40 gers are handmade by Mongolian artisans using wood, felt, and canvas. The Lodge’s buildings draw on traditional Mongolian design and use natural stone and local materials. Across the property, guests can refill reusable water bottles at purified water stations. Our 73.2 kWp solar PV system supplies electricity during the operating season, alongside other power sources. Is there electricity or heating in the gers?
Yes. All guest gers are equipped with LED lighting powered entirely by solar energy. Heating is provided by a traditional wood stove or an electric heater in each ger.
How does Three Camel Lodge support sustainability and local Mongolian culture?
Our gers are made by Mongolian artisans, and our team is entirely Mongolian. Guests receive reusable water bottles that they can refill at the Lodge.
