At Three Camel Lodge, our culinary philosophy is shaped by tradition, intention, and a deep respect for place. Our Pastry Chef, Norov, embodies this spirit through every pastry she creates.
From Bayankhongor Beginnings
Born in 1996 in Mongolia’s Bayankhongor province, Norov grew up surrounded by sweeping landscapes and a rich cultural heritage. Her interest in cooking began early, and by the time she completed primary school in the provincial capital, her passion for baking had already taken shape.
This childhood curiosity soon became a clear path. She decided to pursue her craft with focus and purpose.

Building a Foundation in Culinary Arts
Norov moved to Ulaanbaatar to study at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Technology in 2017. Her education gave her a strong grounding in both the science and creativity of baking.
After graduating, she joined Tous Le Jour as a Pastry Chef from 2018 to 2019. This experience introduced her to the pace of a high-end bakery and allowed her to refine her techniques.
She later returned to her hometown, taking on a role as a Bakery Sales Assistant for three years. It was work that deepened her understanding of how pastries connect with the people who enjoy them.

Growing Through Global Inspiration
From 2023 to May 2025, Norov brought her talents to Ulemj German Bakery. Immersing herself in German-inspired baking traditions broadened her skill set and helped shape her unique style.
This chapter proved essential to her evolution as a versatile pastry chef.
Joining Three Camel Lodge
In June 2025, Norov became part of the culinary team at Three Camel Lodge. Here she prepares fresh pastries each day, guided by her training, experience, and genuine love for her craft.
Guests enjoy baked goods that are thoughtful, balanced, and rooted in a sense of place.
Whether preparing breakfast pastries or afternoon treats, she brings care to every detail.
Crafting Meaningful Guest Experiences
Today, Norov continues to grow in her craft while contributing to the lodge’s commitment to meaningful hospitality. Her pastries carry the stories of her journey and her belief that good food brings people together.
Through her work, she helps make every stay at Three Camel Lodge warm, memorable, and connected to Mongolia.
